Life Happens. Sometimes you just have to write about it.

You can do this yourself!

We love Halloween. It is one our favorite holidays. We decorate the house and have a party every year. Last week, my friend Christina brought over supplies to make some creepy halloween bottles. We had such a good time and they turned out so well, I thought I’d share them with all of you. I’m fairly certain she found the idea on Pinterest.

You’ll need:

  • Old whiskey bottles, orange juice bottles, wine bottles. You can use anything you want, as long as they are glass.
  • Sand paper
  • Modge Podge
  • Black, gray and brown paint
  • Paint brush (I used foam brushes)

Steps:

  1. Rough the bottles up a little bit with some sand paper.
  2. Brush black and brown paint on them –any random direction
  3. Dab with a paper towel – you want to create a smudged effect
  4. You can also use a toothbrush to spray the paint on if you wish by rubbing your thumb over the bristles in the opposite direction of the glass
  5. Christina brought over the labels we used, but if you are comfortable with word,  you could easily make your own by using clip art and a creepy font. You can customize the label by writing whatever you want it to say.
  6. Print the label on regular printer paper and cut it to the desired size.
  7. Modge Podge the label onto the bottle.
  8. Paint over the label and rub gently with a paper towel to give grim effect
